Prior to the start of the tournament, a video of CSK captain MS Dhoni spray painting chairs at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai surfaced on the internet and quickly went viral.

It is worth mentioning that the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai is the home ground of the CSK franchise. After a long wait, the IPL will return to the venue as the home and away format of the league has been reinstated. It is important to note that due to the pandemic, the cash-rich league was previously limited to certain locations.
On numerous occasions, MS Dhoni has professed his fondness for Chepauk and even stated that his final IPL match would be played there in front of the Chennai audience. His admiration for the stadium was apparent when he was captured on video spray painting the chairs with blue and yellow paint, as shared by the official Twitter handle of CSK on March 27.
It is worth noting that the home and away format of the IPL has been reinstated this year, bringing the tournament back to the Chepauk Stadium after a prolonged absence due to the pandemic.

The clip soon became a major talking point on social media and many fans lauded the CSK captain for his simplicity.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play their first home match of the 16th edition of the IPL against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 3. The team, led by MS Dhoni, will be aiming to win their fifth IPL title in the upcoming tournament.
